It is recommended to travel to Trondheim using public transport. Park-and-ride facilities have been established at the following locations:
It’s first come, first served, and payment is made via the SmartPark-app (only in Norwegian).
Fly to Trondheim Airport Værnes. The airport is a 30-minute drive outside Trondheim city center, and you can easily travel into the city by both airport bus and train.

Most routes in Central Norway go directly to Trondheim, with good connections to both buses and the shuttle bus to Granåsen.
This way, you can combine your trip — stay in the UNESCO city Røros and take the train to the Ski World Championships. Or how about staying in the ski paradise Oppdal, just two hours by train from Trondheim?
