Shuttle Bus – A Smooth Journey to and from Granåsen Arena

We strongly recommend using the shuttle buses to avoid traffic and delays, which will be the primary transport solution to and from Granåsen during the World Championships. These buses are designed for large crowds and will have frequent departures from several locations in Trondheim.

Parking – 2025 WSC

There will be no parking at the championship area. There are plans to facilitate parking at IKEA Trondheim and Klett, with options for bus transportation to and from the arena.

Parking for People with Disabilities

There will be designated accessible parking spaces at Granåsen. Please ensure you display a valid disabled parking permit to use these spaces.

Accessibility at the 2025 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships

We aim to make the 2025 World Championships a great experience for everyone, and we are doing our best to ensure that all visitors, regardless of ability, can enjoy the event. As proof of our commitment, we are working towards qualifying for the “Accessibility Mark” by September, which is awarded to organizers who provide excellent accessibility for people with disabilities.

The 2025 World Championships will have two main venues: Granåsen and Medal Square. While accessibility may vary between these venues, we aim for everyone to experience them as accessible and inclusive.
We encourage all visitors to be mindful of weather conditions. The 2025 World Championships will work to ensure that weather and surface conditions do not hinder visitors with disabilities.

Tickets and Companion Passes

The 2025 World Championships is partnering with Ticketmaster, which offers excellent solutions for accessibility tickets and companion tickets. Those who require a companion but do not need access to the accessible area can purchase a standard ticket with a companion ticket at no cost.

Seating Arrangements

There will be accessible seating available at the S stand in the cross-country venue and the D stand in the ski-jumping venue. We recommend that those who require sign language interpretation purchase tickets for these stand-shearing Loops
Hearing loops will be available in select stands at the cross-country and ski-jumping venues. Please refer to the venue map for details on their locations.

Restroom Facilities

Accessible restrooms will be available throughout the World Championship area near the accessible seating sections, and they will be marked on the venue map.

Transportation

AtB will ensure that the bus services to Granåsen are accessible to all. Rest benches will also be provided between bus stops and the arena.

Medal Square

Medal Square will be equipped with accessible facilities, including live captioning and sign language interpretation on select days. A hearing loop will be available on the accessible platform near the stage. Parking in the city center will be limited, so we recommend public transportation.

Important Information

Accessible seating is limited, and we prioritize space for individuals with specific needs and their companions. If seats are available on the day of the competition, consider opening them to more attendees.
